There are a lot of duties of a certified nursing assistance. Some of theme is very busy throughout the day, and even attaining overtime especially on community clinics or any community establishment. There are many types of work in the field of heath care, task that you will be completing for the whole day, depending on which area of the nursing home you are working on. This kind of work you must have the passion for you to have the day and even patience’s for the people who you are helping even if they are hardheaded.
There are many duties to do especially community care people who that are in need of assistance. Assistance simple like people how are in need of a wheelchair or just walking assistance. You must take care for them they are some, who will need to be feed, taking a bath and even help them in their other activities. When working as a CNA in a nursing home site, you will be the majority probable be required to bathe many of the residents.
Some of the patients are in need to be assist on their toileting. There are many patients that will be in need of there adult diapers, CNA must assist them every time they will change their diapers. As a CNA training one of you duties is to make the patient to maintain their dignity or self respect. And if you see the patients who are not capable of doing things on their own, you will assist them or help them especially on their bed rest to prevent bedsores.
If you are working you will be assigning to help the patients or the residents on their grooming needs. there are some of the old patients don’t know what to do and even cant take a tooth brush, you pledge to take care of them as well on their combing their hair, shaving them, see their nails that are not long enough to hurt them selves.
You are in charge for changing the resident’s linen on their bed and even to do the light cleaning on their rooms, cleaning like sweeping the floor take the dust off removing cobwebs on so on. You will be apprised for your good duties to housekeeping when you are hired as employed CNA.
One of your duties as a CNA is to help patients do to exercises. As you know if the patient is capable of doing it on their own you must watch them go through their limits of motion, you will guide them the exact exercise for them. You must be there if they have problems regarding on their activities while exercising, they might have problems to do it. And if you have problems on it you may call you supervisor.
Duties that will help people make their problems make easy if their will be a CNA. Many old people are in need of help right now, but as a CNA you must be calm and patient for you clients you must be careful and certain on you work.
