When you have made up your mind at the cna training you want to take and the location where you will attend classes it is a good idea to find out what your classes are going to be about. Check out the information in directly from you institution that you plan on attending. Many times they will have a book store so that you can go there and find out all about the information you will be taught.
The bookstore should have prices of cna books and cna workbooks and any other information that might be available that you need to know before you start. You surly don’t want to get to class and not have everything that you need to make perfect attendance. There will also be other items that you will need such as uniforms and shoes and maybe some other items. It all depends on where you attend training.
Now the lenth of the cna courses varies from state to state so I can’t give you exact details. However generally you will attend some 60 to 80 hours of classes and training or a combination of those things. While in attendance all during those many weeks and hours you will learn they keys of getting certified as a nurse assistant. By the time you finish you will have the skills and knowlege to go out and find employment at just about any place that hire’s cna’s.
One good thing also is that after you graduate and then take your state exam for certification and you fail they will allow you to take it again. Most states allow you to take the exam as many times as you need to in order to pass. However the majority of students pass the first time. However, anyone can have a bad day so it is good that you can take the exam as many times as you need in order to pass.
The only thing is you will have to repay your fee for testing and in certain state’s you may not be able to retest for a certain period of time after failing the first time. No worries, if you put forthe effort there should be no reason for this circumstance to happen to you.
